JaM JibJab (The Office)

If you haven't heard, JibJab has a beta service where you can add your own headshots to some templates designed from them. It's called Starring You and, imho, is pretty cool. Go check it out. Here's one for Jim and Pam from the Office doing The Charleston!

Avatars at HyperShuttle

For those interested, I've started an Avatar Gallery here at HyperShuttle. At the moment, I'm making them 140x140 pixels. If you think I should do different sizes, let me know.

The Office - Season 4 - Episode 2 - Dunder Mifflin Infinity

Not as funny as the first episode, but that might have been because of the long summer without fresh shows. Not a bad episode, though. The beard jokes were kinda funny. And Jim saying Ryan couldn't get any girl. Not to mention Pam smiling.

The Office - Season 4 - Episode 1 - Fun Run

A great start to the new season! And an hour long! They better be careful or fans will demand the show be moved to an hour permanently! Ok, enough exclamation points. Heh. Great season opener, though. Don't want to give away too much of it, but from the moment Michael pulled into the parking lot, I was laughing.

Source of Many Layers of Music

I like a lot of different types of music. I know, I know, there are lots of people who say that, but I really mean it. Heck, there are even some old country songs I like (which happened after I started listening to Wilco.)

I guess you could say I like any genre as long as it has an alternative flavor, isn't too mainstream. Take regina spektor for example. Fidelity is the song I was introduced to her through, but that was only an introduction.

Heroes - Season 2 Episode 1 - Four Months Later...

Well, I wasn't too disappointed with the first ep of the new series. Reflecting on it, though, Hiro Nakamura is the one character that will keep me watching because of the humor element. And the time travel.

Thinking about it, though, maybe that is why Heroes is so popular - every one of the 'characters' pulls in a different marketing segment - a different type of viewer. Hayden Panettiere's Claire Claire Bennet character shows high school life for the teens. Greg Grunberg who plays Matt Parkman is there for the cop show lovers. Etc. Etc.

Chuck - Season 1 Episode 1 - Pilot

I usually try to give shows that seem to have promise at least one or two episodes before I stop watching. I watched Chuck (official site) not knowing what to expect, really. I hadn't seen any commercials for it and hadn't read about it online. The banner ads I saw online seemed interesting, though, so I watched.

It was kinda out there in a weird (but tame) geeky way. They almost go too far with the stereotypes, but didn't cross any lines in the first episode. It's kind of an Ugly Betty meets Torchwood if it was an American show.

`Heroes' To The Rescue At NBC

Courant.com ran a story about Heroes returning for a second season. It's a pretty interesting read. I haven't seen the first episode yet. I'm hoping it moves faster than season one, where they set-up the back story for all the characters.

With all that out of the way, this season should, if it's good, move into a higher superhero gear, I think. I still want a long story arc, but one with more rewards along the way maybe.

From the article:

Two more days until The Office is back!

I for one can't wait to see the new season. And we get 1 hour every week for the first four (I think?) Good stuff! Should be a funny season hopefully as things fall into place and the character mix nears perfection.

Anyone going to an 'Office Party'? Take pics if you do!

Curb Your Enthusiasm - The Sample Abusers

This was a classic episode. Larry takes someone to task for not being 'polite' in public by trying too many samples at the ice cream store. Well, of course, this has something to do with other plot points in the show. He just doesn't know it yet.

With a lot of the shows showing his selfish side a lot, I bet the 'hurricane family' will have taught him a lesson by the end of the season.

This is probably my favorite episode so far this season.

I could 'feel' a lot of Seinfeld in this episode. It was dropping Seinfeld juice all over.

What did you think?
